Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre has a great way to get the kid’s out of the summer sun this month with a festival of classic children’s films.

Running from January 18 to 21, BREC Kid’s Film Fundays will see five movies screened over four days, with imaginative activity sessions to follow.

Favourites such as The Wizard of Oz, Wall E, Junkyard Extravaganza, Lost and Found and Hairspray will be featured over the festival.

The sessions, over a full morning, afternoon or evening, will give children a chance to engage in holiday fun building intergalactic junkyard vehicles, taking part in themed craft activities and even dress up photo booth opportunities.

BREC marketing manager Jo Semmens said the festival was about connecting kids with the great stories in the movies.

“Film Fundays are much more than sitting in front of a screen,” she said.

They are about kids using their imaginations and getting lost in the beautiful story of each production.

“Film Fundays will create lasting memories for all the kids who attend, and maybe some parents as well.”

Tickets are available at https://www.bunburyentertainment.com/.
