Women of all ages and abilities are being asked to lace up their running shoes for a good cause in the 2018 Vestrum Women’s Fun Run.

The annual Bunbury Runner’s Club event on Sunday, August 5, will raise money for the Bunbury Refuge Inc and the Waratah Group as well as promote healthy lifestyles in a fun and non-competitive environment.

Any female is welcome to participate in a 5km run or walk or a 10km run and a princess event is being held for those under eight years of age.

Vestrum Women’s Fun Run committee member Brenda Kenny said the club was hoping for more than 400 participants this year.

“We will be running rain, hail or shine,” she said.

“For the third year we are doing a free event for our little princesses, who will be running after the finish of the 10km.

“It is a great community event and a good chance for women to come together on a Sunday morning.”

The club is also hosting training sessions at the Bunbury Recreation Ground on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.15pm.

To register for the event, head to the Bunbury Runner’s Club website or find the club on Facebook.
