TEDxBunbury hosted a viewing party of a TEDxScottBase talk, live streamed from Antarctica on January 22 at the Rose Hotel.
The independently organised TEDx event coincided with the 60th anniversary of New Zealand’s Antarctica research station – Scott Base.
The aim of the event was to bring the best “ideas worth spreading” not only to the Antarctic, but around the world.
The Bunbury event took place with hundreds of other viewing parties worldwide and included talks from astronaut Dan Barry, director of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Institute Gary Wilson and microbiologist Craig Cary.
