Eaton Boomers and Souwest Jets netballer Belinda Lowe is getting used to being called on to represent her State.

The 19-year-old has been wearing the black and gold since she was 16.

Earlier this month, Lowe added another accolade to her fledging career when she was named player of the series at the 21 and Under Indoor Netball Super Nationals in Melbourne. The competition is different from regular netball with a net surrounding the court.

Lowe represented WA in the seven-a-side and six-a-side competitions, placing third and fifth, but it was her individual success which shone.

The shooter moved into defence with great success and was not only named the player of the series, but also included in the All-Australian squad, which was selected from the championships.

Lowe said she enjoyed playing netball at an elite level.

“It was amazing and so much fun,” she said. “It was a totally different side of netball.”

Lowe said she wanted to represent WA next year and was hopeful of again being selected in the Australian squad, which is set to tour in 2018.

For now Lowe will continue to focus on finishing the season with the Eaton Boomers in the South West Netball-Football League.
