Lucky escape after Dalyellup crash

An elderly couple are lucky to have escaped injury after reversing into Dalyellup Village Centre on Norton Promenade this morning.

Police were called to the shopping centre at about 11.30am, after the driver allegedly reversed into the front of a music school, before moving forward and hitting a number of shops.

Police attended the scene, but no one was hurt.

It was understood that one person in the car was trapped and no other people were injured.

Police breath tested the driver, which was negative.

Police have seized the vehicle for mechanical inspection.
