The Boars, who were boosted by former Busselton Magpies forward Bailey Coshott, were up and about early.

Coshott showed he had lost none of his ability, with his superior nous around goal coming in handy — particularly in the first half.

However, the Eagles, who eventually ran out 8.15 (63) to 7.2 (44) victors, were able to break the shackles by playing a direct brand of football through the corridor, which allowed them to rattle on goals in bunches.
