Bunbury Neighbourhood Soup went global for its first event of 2017 at the Rose Hotel last week.

All proceeds from the event were used to provide much-needed help to people in East Africa, where 20 million people are in urgent need of food, water and medical supplies.

Five guest speakers, including Waroona/Yarloop/Harvey bushfires recovery project officer Colin Anker, Fr Rod Bower, from the Gosford Anglican Church in NSW, and Evelyn Collin, from the Food For Thought Festival in Albany, had five minutes to talk about a way each guest could give back to the community.

The speeches were followed by a range of soups donated by Market Eating House and bread rolls from Bunbury Centrepoint Baker’s Delight.
