In light of last Saturday’s 4-0 home loss against Curtin University at Onside Sports Stadium, the South West Phoenix face a moment of truth on Saturday afternoon.

The Phoenix, who sit on the bottom of the State league division two table, face a relegation “six-pointer” away to Ashfield SC, who also find themselves in the mire.

Although Nick Carter’s men are only four points adrift of safety, there are only 10 games left to ensure their survival in the league.

“We have got three tough games coming up,” Carter said.

“Ashfield? Well, we played them a couple of weeks ago at home and conceded a goal in the 88th minute. We just need to make sure we go out with a similar plan — attack and bring the game to them, and obviously ensure we collect maximum points.”
