Two cute and fluffy visitors who always prove popular with children will again make their way to Bunbury’s Centre Point Shopping Centre in the lead up to Telethon.

Telethon weekend will take over the centre on October 26 and 27, but shoppers can get up close to special guests Doopa Dog and Fat Cat this Saturday.

The adorable duo will be at the centre from 11am to 12pm as fundraising efforts kick off.

Centre marketing manager Tiana Pomaybo said she encouraged parents to bring the children and get involved in an important cause.

“I think it’s important to the whole of Bunbury, as well as I know the CBD activation is going on so this will activate the CBD too,” Ms Pomaybo said. “But also obviously to provide funds to a good cause.”

There will also be face painting and balloon twisting as part of Saturday’s fun.

The following weekend will see Telethon celebrities again make their way to Bunbury, but Ms Pomaybo said those would not be revealed until next week.

A number of auction items, including a limousine ride with the celebrities, will be up for grabs as part of the Telethon weekend.
