SWFL women’s 2022: Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault look for third win of season against Dunsborough Sharks
Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault will be looking to sing the song at home for the first time in over a year when they play the Dunsborough Sharks this weekend.
The Lions, who are currently in seventh on the ladder, have claimed 12 points for the season from victories against the Eaton Boomers, the Sharks and a forfeit from South Bunbury.
But neither of HBL’s two wins have come at home.
The Lions will be hoping this week’s match will end their luckless streak at Brunswick Oval — where they have not won since round 6, 2021.
On the other hand, Dunsborough are still looking to get off a SWFL women’s duck, having not won a game since joining the competition this year.
Strangely, the Sharks 40-point loss to Eaton last Sunday actually had a silver lining, with it being their closest match of the year.
The other highlight of Dunsborough’s season came when they faced HBL at home in Round 5.
Despite losing 9.7 (61) to 2.1 (13), the Sharks produced their highest score of the year, with their second goal of the match being met with enormous cheers from the home crowd.
Bouncedown will be at 1:30pm at Brunswick Oval on Sunday.
