BDCA coach Anthony Stubberfield is likely to have a number of welcome selection dilemmas ahead of his side’s CCB Country Cup clash against Albany and Districts Cricket Association on Sunday at the Harvey Recreation Ground.

Due to several players performing brilliantly at senior Country Week last month, an extended squad has been announced, with players likely to be notified of their selection on Thursday night.

Stubberfield believes it will be a solid test against the Whalers.

“There is a bit of a rivalry against Albany,” he said. “So it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

“If we play cricket with the right attitude and continue to play as we have been, I think we will be OK.”

The BDCA coach is hopeful South West cricket supporters will make the trip out to Harvey to cheer on his players.

“The opportunity is there for people to turn up and see how we go about our cricket,” he said.

Play begins at 11am.
