Challenging winds and tough competition tested some of the State’s best junior golfers today when they competed in the DBK Haulage Bunbury Junior Open at the Bunbury Golf Club.

Gosnells Golf Club's Sasha Hofmann and Melville Glades Golf Club's Jordan Jung won their respective divisions.

Sasha, 16, finished with five over par (77).

“The wind and rain made it difficult early but it cleared up after a while,” she said.

“I was three under early but messed up at the end to finish one over,” he said.

Jordan chipped in for a birdy on the eighth and eventually claimed a good victory.

The competitors will now head to the Capel Golf Club this weekend to compete in the Capel Junior Cup.
