A new festival — featuring two events in one to cater for all ages — is set to take over one of Bunbury’s most iconic locations just in time for summer.

Created by Bunbury-raised and Euphoria & Co owner Sammy McGlashan, Wild Fest Fest will hit Koombana Bay Foreshore on November 30, with attendees promised an event designed for everyone.

Ms McGlashan said she created the festival because she felt more entertainment was needed.

“My goal from the start was to give back to my hometown, and organising this festival was a priority for me,” she said.

“It’s my way of contributing to the place that shaped me, and creating something special for everyone to enjoy.”

The Wild West Fest will be split into two sessions with the day session from 11am to 4pm an all-ages event, focusing on family friendly activities including roving entertainment, market stalls and a silent disco on the beach.

As the sun begins to set and day turns to night, the party for those 18 and over will get started.

The evening event runs from 5pm to 11pm with DJs, a pop-up tattoo parlour and multiple bars showcasing South West craft beers and spirits.

As part of planning for the festival, event organisers spoke to the City of Bunbury about what they felt the community needed and worked to make it an accessible event.

Ms McGlashan said the whole team was “absolutely pumped” for the festival.

“This has been a long time in the making, and we’re excited to finally bring it to life at one of the most beautiful locations — Koombana Bay,” she said.

“The community has been so supportive, and the positive reception has really energised us even more. We can’t wait to see it all come together.”

Tickets to the event can be purchased through Eventbrite.
