Woman airlifted to hospital following crash
A 70-year-old woman remains in Royal Perth Hospital following a terrifying collision on South Western Highway yesterday afternoon.
The woman’s car and a trailer being towed by another vehicle collided about 3.15pm near Dardanup Road West in Boyanup.
Police say the two vehicles were travelling in opposite directions prior to the collision.
Police, firefighters, paramedics and the RAC Rescue Helicopter responded to the crash with the chopper taking the woman to hospital.
The woman’s car was extensively damaged in the collision.
The crash caused major traffic delays on the highway.
Police are investigating the incident.
