Talented young musician Henry Delbridge’s performing arts education will continue after he received the 59th Frank Arbuthnott Scholarship.

The Manea Senior College Year 11 student was presented the award earlier this month at a Donnybrook Balingup Shire Council function where shire president Brian Piesse praised his musical passion.

“Henry is a very talented young man who is well known in the shire – he has a passion for music and the performing arts,” Mr Piesse said.

Henry said the scholarship would go a long way in helping him to continue his musical studies.

“Music helps me concentrate and I’m planning to take the grade seven exam in piano this year,” he said.

“The funds from the shire and Arbuthnott family is a really good boost for another year of lessons which means I can advance as a musician.”
