All torque, action at Heritage Park
South West truck enthusiasts will showcase modern and vintage trucks at the inaugural Dardanup Heritage Park Truck Torque this Sunday.
More than 100 trucks will be on display at the event including a restored World War II military Jeep.
Dardanup Heritage Park volunteer Hugh Cawdell said the Truck Torque would acknowledge the contribution the transport industry had made to Western Australia's development.
"It's important because we are always looking to get the public in to see what we've got while showing the history of trucks in the State," he said.
"It is also an opportunity for people to showcase their trucks and hard work in restoring them to the public."
The entire Dardanup Heritage Park will be open to attendees with people able to take a closer look at the park's operating sawmill and extensive military display.
Mr Cawdell said the variety of trucks at the event would help the crowd revisit the region's pioneering heritage.
"There will be lots of various age group trucks on display. One of the oldest is our 102-year-old truck," he said.
In addition to the vast display of trucks, the Truck Torque will include many different competitions and prizes across different truck categories.
The Truck Torque will also honour the Dardanup Heritage Park's late founder Gary Brookes and his dedication to the park.
