Boyup Brook Country Music Festival won top honours at the Regional Achievement and Community Awards in Perth on Friday night.

The Boyup Brook Country Music Club's annual festival received the Perth Airport Events and Tourism Award.

Recognition was given to the club for the growth of the festival over 30 years.

The festival was described as "the premier Country Music Festival in Western Australia" with its attendance of upwards of 15,000 people.

It was also recognised for its strong community support of about 60 local organisations and 250 volunteers that helped during the event.

The eight category winners - from a field of more than 250 nominations - each received $2000.
