Dianne & Jude's swan song

Bunbury's representation in Dancing with the Stars has ended, but Dianne Buswell hopes her first time on the show will not be her last.

The 26-year-old Bunbury dancer and her partner, retired Sydney Swans AFL star Jude Bolton, became the fifth couple eliminated from the show on Sunday night.

"Nobody wants to go home and the stars were starting to enjoy the show and getting competitive and wanting to go further," Miss Buswell said.

"Jude was disappointed and so was I, but someone has to go and unfortunately it was us this week."

She flew to Sydney, the city she rehearsed in, on Monday to pack up her belongings before returning to Perth on Tuesday.

Next for Miss Buswell is a few weeks in her home state to "chill out" which will include visiting family in Bunbury and she joked her mother would "hide my car keys" to prevent her from leaving.

Beyond that, she will return to the USA to re-join Burn the Floor, the touring theatre show where she is a full-time dancer.

She will tour Australia, including Perth, with the show early next year which she said would be "great to do".

Miss Buswell described the paso doble she performed with Bolton in the show's second episode as her dancing highlight and also said a hospital visit for children supported by their chosen charity Redkite was "the best time well spent".

Miss Buswell hopes to return to the show next year and joked she would like to be paired with a Fremantle Dockers player.
