Unique and eclectic singer-songwriter Ngaiire is ready to hit the road for a string of shows around the country, as she joins the rest of the entourage for this year's Groovin the Moo.

Bringing along her newly-formed band, Ngaiire said she was looking forward to playing music to people she loved.

"We are expanding the band this time around, as we haven't been touring with a drummer," Ngaiire said.

"So there will be a drummer on board, as well as a keyboardist and two backing vocalists and we will definitely be showcasing a lot of the new stuff as well."

Ngaiire has previously performed all over the world, including Britain's Glastonbury festival alongside American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys and 10-time Grammy award winner John Legend.

"To watch her (Alicia Keys) night after night perform hits like _Fallen _ and _New York State of Mind _was just surreal," Ngaiire said.

"It was definitely an inspired moment for me to be able to stand there and watch one of my heroes do what she does best with such a massive production.

"It also helped me to see where I could go myself."

Ngaiire will be bringing along tracks from her album _Once _, which was released last year and giving fans an exclusive sneak peak to her album _Blastoma _ which is due out in June.

"I was able to put out _Once _ and see how well it connected with people and that has been a real learning experience for me to collaborate with people and trust everyone's creative instincts," Ngaiire said.

"After Groovin the Moo I go off to Europe for a bit, I will be in Israel and Italy for a bit just for a little holiday and then we drop the album."
