Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault have won their fourth straight game and stamped themselves as a genuine premiership threat, defeating Carey Park by 20 points last night at Kelly Park.

The Lions struggled all night to shake the persistent Panthers, but managed to get across the line in the last quarter to win 12.14 (86) to 9.12(66) in a solid effort.

Daniel Italiano (four goals) was excellent for the visitors all night, while Kristin Thornton provided plenty of drive through the midfield.

The battle was tough in the centre, with neither side giving an inch in the game, but the Lions gained control in the last to kick four goals to just two to win the game.
