Some of the State's best junior netballers tested their skills in Donnybrook this week at the 2015 Interstate Netball 15s Schoolgirls training camp.

This year's squad includes five South West players - Harmony Sutherland, Courtney Babich, Shantelle Tassone, Jennifer Brown and Jessica Repacholi.

Coach Sue Gerrard said with the number of South West players, it seemed a good option to have a training camp in the region.

"It is nice for the city players to recognise those sacrifices which the country players make," she said.

Gerrard said she was not sure why the South West was delivering so many quality netballers.

"Obviously the South West academies and the SouWest Jets are doing a good job," she said.

"The local junior coaches are teaching well enough to get them to the State league."

Gerrard said the camp would focus on team building and increasing fitness levels.

"We play two games on one day so we need to do some match conditioning," she said.

The side will have a scratch match against the SouWest Jets 18s team while they are in the region.

The 2015 Interstate Netball 15s Schoolgirls side will compete in Sydney in August.
