South West towns have the chance to be crowned the dairy capital of Australia in a national competition.

The quest to find Australia's Legendairy Capital 2015 includes a winner from each State being named.

WA's winning town will receive a $2500 grant for a community project.

Nominations for the Dairy Australia competition can be made before June 12 online at www.legendairy.com.au/capital

"There are towns in WA that have close-knit and passionate dairy communities that will have a strong chance of being named Australia's Legendairy Capital 2015," Western Dairy spokeswoman Esther Price said.
