Spring has officially sprung in Perth, with a glorious week of sunshine expected to warm up the city.

Bureau of Meteorology’s senior meteorologist Joey Rawson said Perth residents can expect sunny weather conditions for the week ahead with “the heat mainly pushed up the west coast”.

“It’s sunny temperatures ahead, warming up to 27 degrees on Thursday and Friday,” Mr Rawson said.

“There’s no rain in sight, which is a bit of a difference to what we’ve been experiencing.”

The BOM’s seven-day forecast has shown each day from Wednesday will reach a sunny 25 degrees or higher, except for Sunday, which will reach a maximum of 23 degrees.

Thursday and Friday are tipped to reach a balmy temperature of 27 degrees, and Saturday will still be quite high with a maximum of 26 degrees before it cools down on Sunday.

However, sunny conditions are expected to continue to start the week with Monday and Tuesday hitting a maximum of 25 degrees.

In northern WA, Fitzroy Crossing is tipped to reach a blazing 40 degrees, and Halls Creek is set to hit 37.

Geraldton is also in for a sunny week with a maximum of 30 degrees on Friday.

The southwest of the State will miss most of the warmth from the easterly winds, with possible showers expected for Albany throughout the week.
