Fremantle have officially signed delisted Port Adelaide forward Quinton Narkle as the pre-season supplemental selection period opened on Monday.

The Dockers confirmed the news, as reported by The West Australian last month, that Narkle would join the Dockers following the draft.

The 26-year-old follows in the footsteps of former Gold Coast wingman Jeremy Sharp, who joined the club through the same pathway before last season and played every game in 2024.

It comes after Fremantle added four players through the national draft on November 20-21, before signing Claremont ruckman Aiden Riddle as a rookie on Friday.

Narkle did not have to nominate for the national, rookie or pre-season drafts because he is a delisted free agent.

Narkle is also a close friend of new star Dockers recruit Shai Bolton and is married to Bolton’s cousin.

Dockers list boss David Walls said Narkle’s versatility was attractive as they look complement a strong list and new draftees with seasoned recruits.

“His flexibility, that’s one thing we’re looking at, guys who can play multiple roles,” Walls told The West Australian.

“Not just play inside or midfield, but be able to come in have an impact and add a different dimension but then go to a wing and then go to high forward.

“I think that’s why he was the sub for Port Adelaide so many times (eight) this year … he played well in finals so we love that but it’s just his versatility that he gives.”

Former Brisbane defender Jaxon Prior also joined Essendon after the West Perth product delisted by the Lions at season’s end.
