There’s no doubt about it, one of the best parts about the Super Bowl is the incredible array of advertisements on display.

With a huge audience tuning in to watch the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, companies go the extra mile to spend big bucks on ads, often littered with amazing celebrity appearances.

For the second year in a row, the average cost of a 30-second ad spot was $US7 million.

This year, consumer packaged goods like Oreos, Pringles, Mountain Dew, Doritos and M&Ms dominated the ad lineup.

And there are plenty of celebrity endorsements from the likes of Jason Momoa, Quinta Brunson, Jenna Ortega, Tina Fey, Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson and Addison Rae.

Here are some of the main commercials with celebrity cameos:

The Game Cricket 2024-25 Early Bird

Booking.com

Tina Fey featured in this ad and explained that there are so many choices on the travel website that she’s hired body doubles to help her experience all the options.

The spot includes cameos from 30 Rock alums Jack McBrayer and Jane Krakowski as well as award-winning actress Glen Close.

Nerds Gummy Clusters

TikTok star and actor Addison Rae heads up this 30-second ad all about the crunchy sour candy.

It ends with the 23-year-old sitting on a couch snacking on a bag of pink candy.

BMW

This 60-second ad, called Talkin’ Like Walken, starts with Christopher Walken discussing the first BMW 5 Series EV with a valet attendant — before upbeat music begins and everyone that Walken comes across starts imitating his well-known, dramatic voice.

The ad also features a cameo by singer and Super Bowl halftime performer Usher.

PepsiCo Starry

Soft drink brand Starry made its Super Bowl debut in a spot featuring rapper Ice Spice.

Starry’s lemon and lime mascots come face to face with Ice Spice’s old favourite drink in the commercial.

CeraVe

Actor Michael Cera teamed up fittingly for this skincare brand.

Images of Cera holding the company’s popular facial washes and moisturisers sparked jokes online before the Super Bowl with people suggesting he created the products.

Michelob Ultra

This commercial featured Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis and superstar Lionel Messi, putting on a clinic for a bunch of beach-goers.

Michelob Ultra has always used a sports-heavy approach, with their Super Bowl ads last year featuring tennis great Serena Williams, boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez, and American women’s football icon Alex Morgan.

Pringles

Actor Chris Pratt stars in this chip ad as himself only with a handlebar moustache that helps him land a new job as Mr P.

Mountain Dew

In this ad, Aubrey Plaza is faced with mild to wild scenarios, but not even a hit to the head from pool noodles or a shaky elevator could stop her from “having a blast” — a reference to the citrus-flavoured beverage.

Plaza reunited with her Parks and Recreation costar Nick Offerman.
