The Eaton Boomers have a big few weeks ahead of them, with the race for spots in the top-five well and truly in earnest.

This challenging block of games will begin on Sunday afternoon at Glen Huon Reserve, when the Boomers host Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault.

Despite having been a tad inaccurate in front of goal recently, Boomers coach Darren Rigby feels his side has the tools capable of getting back on track.

“We are keen to get it right at work on it at training,” Rigby said.

“It has been a few weeks now where we have had some accuracy issues, but we have got good cohesion as a group. It is just getting the last dot on ‘i’ or cross on the ‘t’ to complete it.”

Boomers supporters could be in for a real treat against the Lions, given the recent form of Tanner Allen, who again led by example last Saturday against Busselton at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.

“Tanner is a local kid and showed some really good signs of ability last year when he played some reserves and league footy for us,” Rigby said.

“He has a great skill set, is very quick and hard to match up on for opposing players, so hopefully he can continue his good form.”
