West Coast Eagles star Harley Reid signs longest-ever local athlete deal with Puma

Harley Reid has accepted a new mega deal, but it’s not the one Eagles fans will be hoping for, with Puma signing the West Coast star on their longest-ever local brand deal.
As speculation continues to mount about the 19-year-old’s future, Puma have moved in to secure the services of the former No.1 draft pick.
Reid made history by becoming the first AFL player to sign with the iconic brand before they were drafted, and after a stunning debut season, they have locked him in on a new six-year deal.
“We’ve backed Harley since before the draft and have been impressed by how he has handled the immense pressure he has been under since his first game,” Neysa Goh, Director of Marketing, said.
“We are excited to extend our partnership with him with a new six-year deal and are looking forward to continue backing him for many years to come.”
Reid has dominated the headlines this week after copping a $1000 fine for giving the middle finger to the Brisbane crowd in the Eagles’ 19-point loss on Sunday.
However, Puma has had no issue with his gesture, even making a cheeky reference in their signing announcement raising their own middle finger with the statement “we’ve got your back.”
It’s not the first time Puma has made a bold statement around Reid. Last year, they bought out the entire back page of The Sunday Times to wish him luck ahead of his AFL debut.

Reid has a long list of clothing and brand endorsements, including StreetX, BNDRZ and Don. Clothing.
As Puma locks in their star West Coast continue to work with Reid’s management as they hope to secure the teen sensation with their own new mega deal.
