VideoAFL: Eagle Liam Ryan will face scrutiny for this bump on Liam Stocker of the Saints.

West Coast star Liam Ryan could earn the ire of AFL match review officer Michael Christian after a bump left St Kilda’s Liam Stocker dazed during the second quarter of their Marvel clash.

Ryan moved to the midfield during the second term to help give the Eagles a spark out the middle as they look to overcome a nine point quarter-time deficit

However, he may have been too fired up after electing to bump Stocker after the midfielder collected a loose ball.

Worse still it was a needless action with West Coast having already been awarded a free kick prior to Ryan’s bump.

While Stocker got up from the incident he was quickly brought off the ground to undergo a concussion assessment.

“It looked like incidental contact but it’s had a big impact,” Nathan Buckley said on commentary.

“I’m not sure if he slipped into it.”

Fortunately for Ryan, Stocker was able to return to the game however will still likely have a case to answer at the Tribunal.
