Bindi Irwin reveals growing baby bump for the first time and says baby girl is ‘doing great’
Bindi Irwin has given a glimpse of her growing baby bump for the first time.
The conservationist is expecting her first child with husband Chandler Powell and took to Instagram to share how big her “human joey” was getting with her 4 million followers.
“My beautiful mum took this photo yesterday. Baby girl is doing great,” she said.
“Every time we get an ultrasound she’s incredibly energetic and always moving around.
“She’s now about the same size as a mountain pygmy-possum. Too cute.”
Posing in a black tank top and khaki pants, the 22-year-old stood to the side to reveal her growing stomach, with her hands placed around her blossoming bump.
Powell, 23, shared his joy in the comments.
“She’s already growing up so fast and she hasn’t even arrived yet. I love you and our baby girl,” he said.
The couple announced their pregnancy in August, five months after they wed at Australia Zoo.
“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” Irwin wrote at the time. “Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting!
“It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.
“Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.
“We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us.”
Since the announcement, the couple has regularly updated fans on their pregnancy journey and are expected to share more details as Irwin’s due date nears.
