A multi-million dollar six-storey waterfront apartment building will be built as the first stage of a Koombana North development.

That’s the promise from Queensland-based developer AustPro Management after striking a $1.5 million a deal to buy an 1150sq m block of land from the State Government.

AustPro managing director Chris Pappas said the first stage of the development for the six-storey building would include 12 apartments, two penthouses and shops on the ground floor “with absolute beach frontage and immediate access” to the Bunbury CBD.

“Its setting will set it apart as a city-beach living showcase,” he said.

“I congratulate Western Australia's authorities on their foresight and energy.”

Austpro has an option to buy another block of land that could be used to build a business precinct, including shops, offices and more residential apartments.

Mr Pappas said both the State Government and the Bunbury City Council had acted with high levels of professionalism during the deal.
