Po spends his days eating dumplings, high-fiving kids and kicking and punching things - that is until he realises there is more to being the Dragon Warrior than he could have ever believed.
Attaining the role of master on the retirement of master Shifu, Po is soon struck with the panic of all that leading a village involves.
As he fumbles through kung fu training sessions, Po's loveable and humorous nature softens what would otherwise be a scary and troublesome time for his village.
While Po is a talented fighter in his own right, it was his unique fascination with ancient kung fu masters that were brought to life after being captured by evil Kai that gave him a special edge.
Despite the masters being possessed by Kai's devilish motives, Po was hung up on getting a selfie with each of them. Given that cameras weren't invented at this time, Po poses for a portrait sketch while trying to avoid being killed.
After being reunited with his biological father who promises to teach him the key behind defeating Kai, Po finds himself surrounded by pandas that look just like him for the first time ever.
It is here that Po admits he knew he hadn't been living up to his eating or sleeping capabilities.
In the panda village, there are no stairs, rolling is the preferred form of transport and eating one dumpling at a time is simply unheard of.
In a final face-off, it is their ability to utilise personal strengths that eventually renders them victorious.
This movie is a fantastic display of ancient Chinese traditions combined with modern slang and technology and there is a perfect balance between drama and humour which is why I score it 7.5/10.
