Groovin the Moo announces line-up for festival’s long-awaited return to WA

An eclectic mix of Australian and international artists is set to descend on Bunbury’s Hay Park as excitement continues to build around the long-awaited return of Groovin’ The Moo.

Festival organisers shared even more “good moos” on Wednesday, officially announcing the line-up for the popular regional music festival as it gears up to return to Bunbury for the first time since 2019, taking over Hay Park on Saturday May 6.

Hosted by Melbourne-based radio host Lex and DJ & producer Pookie, the GTM line-up is set to feature a variety of Australian and international artists that will have festival-goers getting into the groovin’ moo-d.

Artists on the line-up include singer-songwriter turned Australian Idol judge Amy Shark, British DJ Fatboy Slim, Ocean Alley, Confidence Man, Eliza Rose — whose hit song ‘Baddest of Them All’ reached number two in the 2022 Triple J Hottest 100 — Denzel Curry, Ball Park Music and Skeggs.

Tickets are due to go on sale on Tuesday February 7.

It is the first time the popular festival will be heading west in four years, after it was first cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the festival made its return in 2022, the tour did not include a stop in WA, with promoters saying they could not confidently deliver the show.

Bunbury Mayor Jaysen Miguel told the South Western Times last fortnight the City was “really excited” to have the festival make its return.

“It is an event that the local community really get behind and it brings plenty of people into Bunbury which is great for accommodation providers and local businesses,” he said.

“Groovin’ The Moo, along with the vast selection of growing events in Bunbury, continue to showcase all that the Bunbury Geographe region has to offer.”
