Shire of Collie councillors embrace bright new brand
The Collie Shire Council is going through a rebranding process for first time in more than two decades as it looks to embrace an increasingly progressive outlook in the town.
A new logo has been designed to represent how the town sits within nature, its ties with coal and its modern approach.
The accompanying tagline “Explore. Discover. Connect. A connected community that is as rich and diverse as its heritage and landscape.” aims to encapsulate the council’s desire to diversify and grow the local economy.
Shire president Sarah Stanley said the new branding showed the council was proud of where the town had come from while it was looking towards the future.
“The council’s number one strategic priority is the diversification of our economy,” she said.
“We felt that rebranding the shire and therefore the town was a really important component of that.”
